Cacao Protein Balls

Ingredients:

  • 150g GF oats

  • 50g protein powder (I like Pulsin pea protein powder)

  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 tbsp coconut, oat or almond milk

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 150g almond or peanut butter

  • 25g cacao nibs

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

Directions:

  1. Combine the protein powder, oats, cinnamon and flaxseeds in a mixing bowl.

  2. Once combined, add the honey, vanilla extract, nut butter, milk, cacao nibs and cacao powder.

  3. Stir well to combine.

  4. Using your hands, create 15 balls from the mixture (approx 30g per ball).

  5. Place the balls on a plate and let chill for 30 minutes, until firm. If desired, you can bake the protein balls in the oven to make crispy. Bake until golden brown.
